Description:	Malvern Festival Chorus and conductor Jonathan Brown present two great choral works which were written towards the end of the nineteenth century. Both are settings of the text of the Mass but they are very different from one another; Puccini's Messa di Gloria is full of colour, vitality and musical surprises, whereas the floating harmonies and graceful melodies of the Faure, create an abiding sense of peace. With organist Hilary Norris and soloists James Atherton (tenor) and Alexander Jones (bass)
