This section is specifically for choir members and is where you will find all the announcements previously made at rehearsals plus a range of useful resources to help you familiarise yourself with the works we are performing and so get the most out of rehearsals.
Click on the buttons at the bottom of the page to access rehearsal dates for the current season, practice files to help with "note-bashing", recordings of the works we are performing to hear what they should sound like, and details of what has been rehearsed at each rehearsal.

Centenary Season

Plans for our Centenary Season have been conceived not only as a celebration of 100 years of MFC but also with the objective of increasing membership and visibility within the community, and thus assuring the future of MFC. In addition to the two outlined below, other means of raising funds will be discussed at the AGM on 10 September.

We hope you agree that our Centenary Season will be one to remember for many years to come. We appreciate your help in making it so.

Centenary Concerts and Sponsorship

Our special concerts in 2020, J S Bach’s St Matthew Passion, with our President James Oxley as Evangelist, in Worcester Cathedral in March and the Gala Concert in Malvern Theatres in June, should be a great attraction for singers and audience but we need to ensure that we have revenues to cover the costs. For this reason we’re looking for sponsorship, not only from traditional sources (eg Elmley Foundation) but also from organisations, businesses and people in the local community. As previously requested (see Notices 19 March 2019 below), please think of any contacts you may have with local businesses (eg dentists, solicitors, accountants, as well as tradespeople) who could be willing to sponsor a new singing member or one of our concerts, in return for publicity and concert tickets. Click here for details of the sponsorship options. If you need help in making the contact please let a member of the Committee know.
