This section is specifically for choir members and is where you will find all the announcements previously made at rehearsals plus a range of useful resources to help you familiarise yourself with the works we are performing and so get the most out of rehearsals.
Click on the buttons at the bottom of the page to access rehearsal dates for the current season, practice files to help with "note-bashing", recordings of the works we are performing to hear what they should sound like, and details of what has been rehearsed at each rehearsal.

It has been great to have over 50 members joining us for weekly Zoom rehearsals since the beginning of September, including two members who have successfully taken part by phone. As well as enjoying the singing, it has been lovely to see so many familiar faces.

Understandably, this rehearsal format hasn’t appealed to everyone, but whether or not you have joined in so far why not take part in singing Christmas music with us? There will be three one hour sessions on Tuesdays 1, 8 and 15 December. Please do invite non-MFC member friends to join in as they do traditionally in our annual Carols for All concert.

The carols will be taken from the white Oxford 100 Carols for Choirs book which many of you will have. If you don’t have a copy, it is available to purchase online. As always, details of which pieces we will be rehearsing each week will be given on the Rehearsal Schedule webpage. Click on the green button at the top and bottom of this page.

Although our traditional Carols for All concert will not be able to take place, there may be a possibility of singing together outside somewhere, on Saturday 19 December. If this is not possible, we can still see everyone and share the joy of singing Christmas music on Zoom.

We hope to see you on 1 December. A Zoom invitation will be sent out before the session. Please see the notes under Virtual Rehearsals below for details of how to get the best out of the sessions.
